Program overview
Department of Psychology is the need of today. The field is important because it offers answers to the question, “What makes humans tick?” Studying psychology can mean walking away with a greater understanding of how humans handle everyday life.
We're all interested in what makes people behave in a certain way, how they think, act and interact with others. That's why studying psychology — the science of human behavior — is interesting in its own right.
Aims & objectives
Our psychology courses enable our students to gain an understanding of ideas, theories and methods in psychology, to learn how to analyze and evaluate psychological concepts, and how to develop skills in assessing different kinds of evidence, including both quantitative and qualitative data. It can also help develop a range of widely applicable transferable skills.

Requirement for admission
- F.A / F.Sc / A-Level or Equivalent with minimum 45% or 2nd Division
As per KUST admission policy.
Duration & credit hours
BS Psychology is a four-year degree program consisting of eight semesters, with two semesters each year. Minimum 138 credit hours.
Merit determination — Bachelor / BS (4 year)
- 10%SSC / Equivalent
- 40%HSSC / Equivalent
- 50%NAT / Entrance Test / Approved Test
Merit = A + B + C(A: SSC 10% · B: HSSC 40% · C: Entrance test 50%)
